1. What do you know about the Earth, moon and sun? Record your thoughts in your Science journal.
2. Your teacher will download the (author unknown) for you to view.
3. After viewing the Power Point can you add additional information to what you know about the Earth, moon and sun in your Science journal.
4. Are there any questions that you have about the Earth, moon or sun? Record your questions in your Science journal.
5. What do you know about day and night? Create a table to record your thought about things that happen during the day and things that happen during the night.

The Earth, moon and sun
1. Your teacher will download the SMART document or the document for you to complete. It will show you how to create a scientific diagram and the important features that you need to include.
2. Using labelled diagrams, record your ideas about:
a) The size and shape of the Earth, moon and sun.
b) The positions of the Earth, moon and sun in relation to each other.
c) How you think the Earth, moon and sun might move? You might need to use arrows to show your ideas about movement.
This is what one student thought, not saying that it is correct or incorrect, just what they thought.
